Vrieze Farms is a third generation dairy farm which celebrated it's
100 year anniversary in 2007. Built in 1907 by
Henry Vrieze, Vrieze Farms was taken over by Wes Vrieze in 1952. And now, after 100 terrific years, John Vrieze (the current owner and operator) has decided that it is time for the barn to be torn down. But, this is not the end for Vrieze Farms. John is a very proactive man in the community, the dairy industry, and even the world. Vrieze is the owner of Baldwin Dairy, Emerald Dairy, and The Transition Management Facility (Emerald Dairy II). This father of four and grandfather of one is not only the President of the Wisconsin Dairy Business Association (DBA) but also a member of The Russian Farm Community Project (RFCP) and owns an interest in over 3000 cows globally. Besides running Emerald Dairy, Baldwin Dairy and Emerald Dairy II (accumulatively around 2500 cows) he also heads up a 500 cow operation located about 50 miles north of Moscow, Russia. John, who is also a member of the Global Warming Task Force, is constantly working to keep the industry productive and environmentally safe.
